Youth Ministry (R.O.C.K.) at Faith Bible Church
The Youth Ministry (R.O.C.K.) at Faith Bible Church is committed, by God’s enabling grace, to “bring about the obedience of faith” leading to both the salvation and sanctification of our youth. We endeavor, in partnership with parents, to see young people grow up into Christ and into the church, through sound Biblical teaching and discipleship.
Every week young people in grades 7-12 gather together to worship God through music, prayer, and preaching. They also have the opportunity to be involved in one-on-one discipleship, retreats, camps, and service projects throughout the year.
Our desire is bring glory to God. We seek to do this in each facet of our ministry by pointing young people to Jesus as the all-satisfying treasure of their souls.
Our purpose in youth ministry is not to compete with the church or the family but to be a blessing to both. As a result our young people do not meet as a separate group during corporate church meetings.
Our method is not just telling young people what to think and do but to show them from the Scriptures. Our opinions are not ultimate but the Scriptures are. Therefore, we strive in all of our ministry to bring the teaching of the Bible to bear on every area of life.
Our weekly ministries to youth include Sunday School and Wednesday nights both of which include singing, prayer and teaching in an expository style. Because we believe the Bible is God’s perfect revelation to us, we take exactly what the Bible says and apply it to young people today believing it is relevant and everything they need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
FBC Youth meet every Wednesday, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Regular Wednesday evenings include games, fellowship, music, and Bible Study.
Youth meet from 9:00-10:00 during Sunday School and enjoy a time of worship and teaching from God’s word. Students are welcome to join at any time.
Other ministries include summer and winter camps, discipleship, mission trips, service projects, and other ministries that fulfill our goals. Counseling is also available for those families who are looking for a Biblical solution to the problems they face.
